Legalisation Process
Documents to be legalised for use in Vietnam need to be sent to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office first to be apostilled and then presented to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Vietnam for attestation.
Fees
The fee payable is £100 (express) and £80 (standard).
Processing Times
2-4 working days (express) and 5-6 working days using the standard service.
Notes/Comments
The Embassy of Vietnam in London also has jurisdiction for legalising documents emanating from UK Overseas Territories (Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Island , Cayman Islands, Gibraltar, Turks and Caicos Islands), UK Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man) and the Republic of Ireland. These documents must first be legalised by the relevant legalisation authorities in that country and then, in the case of UK Overseas Territories, re-stamped by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the UK prior to submission to the Embassy of Vietnam.
