Legalisation Process
Documents to be legalised for use in Democratic Republic of Congo need first to be sent to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office to be apostilled and then presented to the consular section of the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo for attestation.

The consular processing time is likely to be 1-2 weeks.
Notes/Comments
Documents to be legalised for use in the DRC should be accompanied with a translation into French. The translation should be bound to the original English documents.
A photocopy of the Apostilled document, copy of the Applicant’s passport and recent proof of residential address (if the document is a Power of Attorney signed by more than one individual, it is required for each signatory) and consulate application form duly completed and signed by the Applicant(s) is required upon submission to the Consulate.
